Dalmeran wines have been planted on the slopes of two vallevs leading into the Alpilles hllls. The earliest record of vines and olive trees on the domain was in 1531. The roman road, via Domitia, passed by its front door on the northern slopes of the Alpilles.
Its micro-climate is constantly regenerated by the pulsating Mistral wind. The vines are planted in a clay/lime stone soil and the surface is peppered with pebbles. The vines, grenache, syrah, cabernet-sauvignon and cinsault were planted over 25 years ago.

Cultivation techniques are traditional - no inorganic fertilisers, no herbicides, only a few organic compounds and constant working of the son and sub-soil.
Dalmeran White and Rose wines have been, officially, classes as organic since 2011.
The yields have been voluntary limited to under 3500 litres per hectare.
The harvest is carried out manually with rigorous selection of healthy grapes at the sorting table in the winery.

Wine takes time to mature and Dalmeran have decided to give their wine the time it needs to fully express its identity. It is no wonder with such attention to detail that Dalmeran wines are considered amongst the best in the Baux de Provence.
