100% Pinot Noir. Deeply coloured with vibrant aromas of red currant, cherry and cassis that deepen in complexity to include earthy notes with ageing. Firm but smooth tannins soften after opening to reveal an elegant, well balanced body.
Certified Organic and Biodynamic. Vines 60 yo, Yields 40hl/ha, limestone soil on marl-stone, Hand harvested, 90% destemming, Natural Yeasts Fermentation, MLF, gentle fining and filtration. Aged 12 months in French Oak Barrel (10% new oak and 90% 1-6 years barrels).
Best aged for a minimum of 3 years, ideally between 4-6 years, but it can keep well over 10 years. When served young, it’s advised to decant the wine to obtain the most expressive bouquet. Best served around 16-18C. Saint Romain reds are excellent match for all manner of fowl and game birds, but also have the structure to pair with red meats and aged cheeses.

Domaine Henri and Gilles Buisson:
Located in the village of Saint Romain, in the Cote d'Or department of Burgundy, just 5 kilometers into the hills west of Meursault. Vine growing started back to 1300s in this area.
Henri, the grand father and Marguerite his wife, were the first growers to produce and sell bottles in Saint Romain around the 1950s. Usually the harvest was sold to the negociants of Beaune which were bottling the wines under their brand name.
Gilles, the father and Monica his wife, developped the vineyard with prestigious AOP like Corton Charlemagne, Pommard, Volnay Premier Cru and Beaune.
This family estate is run today by Frank and Frederic Buisson, 8th generations of winegrowers.
They own 19 hectares of vineyards (65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay).
The estate has a beautiful collection of parcels, in Saint-Romain but also in Meursault, Volnay, and Corton Grand Cru including 0.5 ha of "Le Rognet and Corton".
They have a very natural approach to winemaking, 100% fermented grapes juice, nothing added, nothing taken. All the work is done by hand in the vineyards and by gravity in the cellars.
They are both certified Organic (Ecocert) and Biodynamic (Demeter).
Domaine H&G Buisson produces only 70 000 bottles a year. These fine and rare wines are really hard to find.
